As a football fan I'd prefer the goal to stand and Szoboslai to stay on, but as a referee I can see that he has to disallow it and send him off. It is a very clear foul by Haaland, difficult to ignore that really.

Haven’t seen it as watching the rugby, but for the second one if the handling was due to the arm being in an unsupportable position it can only be a yellow card. Would only be red if a deliberate handball, I.e. saw the ball and deliberately moved the hand towards it.

The problem with that is you are accusing them of cheating, I’d want to be 100% it was simulation before I do that.

There are two obvious problems with that approach, the first being that they aren't going to get better if they aren't penalised for it. Secondly, in my experience of womens football they won't be best impressed if they new they were being refereed differently because of their gender.

Pretty sure they can only appeal the final outcome as that is what the player is suspended for. They are in effect appealing the suspension not the decision.
