I checked the footage again. He last checked his watch (probably started the timer) 4 seconds before the ball was kicked. That was probably the reason why he blew earlier.
It's interesting, because even if Casemiro plays the ball backwards, Benzema can still be offside. (Many people think it can't, because it's played backwards.)
For me, it's a RC. Endangering the safety of the opponent. No intent, of course, but it doesn't matter. I have seen many RC, where the offender didn't mean it/it was accidental.

It's not a penalty for me. YC for Fernandez would be good. If you look at the point of contact you would have to go red, but if it's really accidental there are situations (like falling on someone after a header) where you don't have to punish that hard.
I thought it was a very interesting scene. I think Kane is very quick in realising that he won't get to the ball, once he feels contact in the back. So he falls. I think if we look at it frame by frame I would say rather no penalty and theatrical fall - BUT it's one of those where the majority...
