As title a bit of a strange situation... Home team to contact referee to confirm fixture, details etc... Is this done out of pure courtesy, or written in any competition rules? 3 of my 4 games this weekend, haven't contacted me, luckily for me know where their grounds are!

This weekend I had only 1 game on Saturday. Then a junior League was crying out for a ref, so got appointed to 1, not too far from the other. And then CFA appointed me to 2 on Sunday, luckily not far from each other.

So county cup weekend, received email from CFA, given my availability for Sunday. Received 2 appointments... 11am and 2pm ko. Venues only 20mins away. Oh and Saturday 2 more appointments(normal leagues). Is it me or the shortage of ref got really bad?

There were a few of those last time I was here, so nothing really changed there? 😁

Ah well I had enough time yo read and digest the report, I've taken the development points out of it, and gonna work on those. In meantime I have sent a dispute email to RDO @county, probably not doing myself any favours there, but onwards with the next 2. And Saturday I've got opportunity to...

Does a fabricated caution count? And when I eventually caution said player, I got marked down as not showing the red. Also an alleged dogso, 1 on 1 attacker on keeper with 2 other defender in vicinity?

So what was the point in making changes in law 3 and allow for returning substituted player then? So that the coffin dodgers sitting in league committee can tell us that the laws are only guidelines?

Comp rule states that a team can use 5 from 5 sub's. But when team have just 1 sub, can they make a repeat sub? Comp rules does not say, whereas law 3 does.

When competition rules are ambiguous and you find the answer in the laws, which take priority? Been accused by my local Saturday league, of breaching competition rules where the laws are very specific, and support my decision. Obviously the team "wronged" have complained to league.
