    Interesting observation

You’ve said for L4 and above. That means the L4s I’ve worked with should’ve been told they can’t contact the observer, surely?

    Interesting observation

When I’ve been observed on Step 5/6 lines, every observer has once again closed their debrief saying we can text or call in the event of any issues. Says it to the Ref (L4) as well as assistants

    Interesting observation

Every observer I’ve had has said any questions, give me a call. Seems to the standard

Player Constantly Shouting 'Foul Throw Ref'

No, I take your point on board and I do think you're right. In the context of it being one player repeatedly, about the same thing, I agree they should probably be shut up and have 10mins off. My own views on dissent/OFFINABUS are clearly some of the more tolerant ones out there, but I agree...

Player Constantly Shouting 'Foul Throw Ref'

Every single time someone sees a player go down under contact, you'll here 'that's a foul ref', every time there's a touch on the ball I'll be hearing "That's ours if it goes", etc., you get the gist of what I'm getting at. To me, these are just parts of football, players are trained to ask for...

Player Constantly Shouting 'Foul Throw Ref'

Yeah completely valid point. Set the player up for the fall and they can’t have complaints.

Player Constantly Shouting 'Foul Throw Ref'

I so think this is a far tougher sell as dissent than a normal caution - although I agree it probably should be a SinBin. This will very much be seen as ‘asking the question’, so ‘how can it be dissent’

    Dissent tolerance levels

Sorry to pick on you Dicky, these were just the most recent ones! For me, I find these to be silly comments rather than outright dissent. I personally start to look at SinBins when it’s persistent, it’s rare it’s for the first offence for me. Whilst I don’t know the context of the game...

Wholegame ERROR: An item with same key has been added

Spoken to my CFA’s discipline. They’ve acknowledged the error and told me to keep trying, and disregard the 48hrs

    Wholegame reports for every game?

I don't, provides little benefit, as I log my games across spreadhseets (because I'm boring) anyway!

    IFAB Law Tweet

Perfect, didn’t read that part! Thank you

    IFAB Law Tweet

Above tweet from IFAB. I thought the manager/coach should receive a straight red card in this situation, for delaying the restart. Have I just completely mis-remembered law?

    Unseen OFFINABUS

James is spot on with this. I've attached the guidance below: https://www.thefa.com/inclusion-and-anti-discrimination/reporting-discrimination Use this website, and find the PDF titled "FA Guidance on dealing with discrimination for match officials". This will help guide you through what to do...

    Shoved by player

Within the last few months I was slapped on the arm and said player then tried to wrestle my card out my hand. I am U18 for what it's worth. I won't excessively comment, as the case is ongoing, however to my knowledge, it's not being deemed an assault. To add, sorry to steal the OP's thunder...

    Rainbow Laces

My boots are made by Nike, they use child labour in sweatshops in SouthEast Asia. This doesn't mean I support this process. By the same measure, wearing rainbow laces doesn't lead to the chain of reasoning you think it does.

    Rainbow Laces

    1. Would you advise against it? 2. Are we expected to be impartial on political matters? Why do PGMOL referees take the knee? Why do they do 'breaking barriers' sessions? Why do we support 'kick it out' alongside our CFAs?

    Rainbow Laces

Don’t let any player stop you standing for what you believe in.

    Advice regarding verbal abuse/confidence

It comes with time served. Once you get more and more comments in your ear, you realise they’re not actually reflective of your performance 99% of the time, they’re just players being morons, and trying to gain any advantage they can over you. Just remind yourself you know what you’re doing...
