Even if anyone at the ground thought that initially, it took maybe 10 seconds to realise what was going on. Boos were audible for ages, disingenuous to blame 'a team talk'.

what's rugby's approach here? every break down / ruck / maul / scrum generally has an offence if the ref looks hard enough, how and why do they penalise certain offences but not others...

i was at the game, while it may have taken a few seconds to realise what was going on and why, the boo's only got louder. the pen, not for me. the stamp, reminded me of rooney v portugal in 2006...probably a lucky boy
