Heck of a call 16 mins into a proper relegation 6 pointer
Scissor tackle, possibly looked higher than it was in reality and I'm not sure VAR (if in use) would recommend a red if a yellow was given live, but I'm happy with it - nasty challenge
trying to help a friend out...and i know we've discussed this before (to death probably) but i can't find any previous threads
in a recent step 5 game he's given a dissent caution at half time whilst still on the field, observer has queried not using the sin bin to which the ref replied saying...
This is controversial...
TB HAS to be letting play go on there, really poor to blow up in the first instance preventing VAR from getting involved, but he's got it wrong too, massive keeper error and it's helped cost villa a champions league place
Had previously rated this ref highly...not anymore, he's had an indifferent 25 mins and this pen decision is a shocker
VAR bailing him out...no clue why its taken them fully 4 mins to figure it out. Appalling process
I posted about this game last year, this time it ended up being reffed by a group of youtubers/influencers.
Enjoyed watching it but then again that's because I made the winning pen save!
Please donate if you're able, very worthy cause.
Teams are refs vs managers from the west Yorkshire area.
Had a game yesterday (I helped out last minute) on a local cup semi final - ref was 'old school', not too much to disagree with in terms of major decision (9 yellows and sin bin all looked fine) though there were 3 errors in law which undermined his own credibility, and certainly his match...
Some bizarre refereeing going on
Imo missed a clear red for a head but that he appeared to be looking directly at.
Another clear yellow missed for a 'Harry kane' challenge on a player jumping in the air.
I get its tough and you want 22 on the pitch but feels like there'll be cards later in...
This is beyond basic. Must be a lack of concentration and/or awareness not helped by being a hood yard out of position.
Clearly not expecting the English mistake but not exactly a suitable excuse
This feels unhelpful in every way...
He knew it was a foul but didn't send the ref to the monitor (for whatever reason) and ended up 'costing' Chelsea 2 points. I hope it was just a one off but that hardly makes it better.
Our annual refs v managers football match is coming up this weekend with a team of L2B - L5 refs from West Riding taking on a team of step 5 to Sunday league managers based mainly in Bradford. It's always a great occasion and with the refs winning last year for the first time (surely no...
you may (or may not) have seen this post/rant on twitter
the rights or wrongs of openly posting such a thread are separate topic altogether, but much of what he says resonates with me and are things i've observed during my time at L4
referees 'coming off' games injured or otherwise at...
A 'friend' of mine put this together after my game last week! Did amuse me (and the group watsapp chat)!
Full match video here with the confrontation in full (10:30), nice way to end my last step 5 game before dropping back to 5!
