It's a disgrace. To tolerate it is to condone it and this unacceptable. It's also in the Laws that's it's wrong, so it should be punished appropriately. Appalling example to set to young players to allow it to go on. Does this happen in other sports? Football is making its own problems.
Keeper picks ball up from a back pass about 5 yards from goal. Where is the IDFK taken from? Where he picks it up, or on edge of area parallel to where he picked it up? Also, if it's the latter, is this a recent Law change?
Point taken, but as originally posted, I do youth football (7-18) in the main. I'm not really addressing vets or Sunday morning adult games. My role is as much educator as anything else, mainly of managers, tbh. Be clear and polite and tell them what they ought to be getting their team to do...
@LancsRefTakesTheL makes a decent point - managers know the rules and need to instill them into their charges. They shouldn't be surprised when their players are pulled up for what they are wearing, if it's not allowed. Simple. I wouldn't be sending a 12-year-old to get changed either, but...
