    Rotherham v Bolton penalty

The use of audio instead of a positive flag from the AR makes the giving of a clear penalty a bit of a mess, the referee & AR movement after the foul is odd as it gives the impression they aren't giving it?

    Chelsea v Morecombe penalty

Was surprised the AR didn’t see the GK off his line, given he saved it so far from the goal line, to get there must have meant he didn’t start on the line? https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkx4AuQGqbKnBIFauLlfVpQyEguwie_BeWI?si=OQmpmkM-wDM7vEnU

    Spurs vs Liverpool

I think the 4O should have been in his ear, as he didn't think it was a foul.

    Valencia v Real Madrid

I still believe it was negligible contact to the back of the neck, is that still classified as head? For me the better outcome is two AA cautions.

Kit clash - Arsenal v Newcastle

Man C wore yellow/black away v West Ham & Villa this season

    Valencia v Real Madrid

Definitions Negligible - so small or unimportant as to be not worth considering; insignificant. Violent conduct - excessive force or brutality This ‘strike/push’, which was it closer to? brutality or negligible? Simulation - There are different circumstances when a player must be cautioned...

    Valencia v Real Madrid

I’m still an outlier & believe it is negligible force. More a push than a strike. Anyone for caution GK for AA & second caution GK for simulation = Red. BTW GK wasn't cautioned.

    Valencia v Real Madrid

Is it one for VAR to intervene? Will encourage players to overreact with any contact. https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxDPSicyx-GV-BOxgb6vgPy6PC2GIfTwnM?si=aKOej65rpKbf75IM

    Spurs vs Newcastle

One of those probably better to give, can justify hand outside of his silhouette. If its on goal line & prevents a goal are you giving penalty & red card? https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkx2NVKkd5dB5UpPepch9GVav8iiKaOxZ5S?si=EKXYdjO5cR6y7NqQ

Indirect free kick on edge of goal area

I did send the idea to IFAB & wait their response.

Indirect free kick on edge of goal area

If its quick before I arrive on the scene then fine, unlikely but possible. Once you are there, you can still say, "we are taking this when I am ready", usually 15+ players in close proximity means it takes some setting up.

    Merthyr v Walton & Hersham

If we are believing the damage to the shin pad, IMHO the referee has made an excellent decision, the tackle must of endangered the safety of his opponent to do that level of damage, if the shin pad (if we can call it that) wasn't there, the tackle would have caused a significant injury. He has...

Indirect free kick on edge of goal area

The point I was trying to make, was it is against current law, but better for a referee to manage these free kicks, by not restarting with a whistle. This was the example from an elite referee managing such a free kick. As you can see from the still image , the defenders should all have both...

RKC v PEC offside from corner

I can’t believe none of the match officials or even players & management team queried this offside from a corner as there was clearly no offside offence in open play before the goal was scored. How many officials in the VAR room? For VAR to intervene is inconceivable. Would love to see the...

Don’t forget Armstrong’s goal was disallowed, so threshold was set, offside even if you make no touch with the ball behind you. https://youtube.com/clip/Ugkx7qV-uH2rePdQCUht9JfdjhIx1-IUWCRq?si=4gjdQAQShNsQORq6

    Brighton v Brentford

Having given three Reds this year for a replica of this missing elbow & another match a player for two punches that missed, I can confirm the players know contact for VC is not necessary. There are plenty of other LOTG gaps but this is not one. 🤣

Newcastle Vs Aston Villa- Duran Red Card

This BBC clip/analysis has change my mind too, given he had to switch his weight to the right as he turned his left ankle. Alan Shearer criticising AT for not taking his time is laughable, that is the one thing he did do! https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/videos/cvgp3y2gle2o

Newcastle Vs Aston Villa- Duran Red Card

Fair point, Premier league statement is VC.

If the AR gives Nunez offside & not Salah that is an incredible spot, Nunez in front of the ball but not in front of Salah, not sure my brain would have computed that as offside? 👏 Yesterday’s fixtures the tight offsides given by ARs has been exceptional...

Newcastle Vs Aston Villa- Duran Red Card

I feel an elite footballers feet are their tools, so he could have avoided the contact. He could have collapsed his knee & rolled to the left if he wanted to IMHO. Just about enough contact to classify as SFP.
