I suspect more holding penalties may be given in the next few weeks particularly if you don't look at the ball?
1. Havertz penalty (5-0 penalty, 2-3 non VAR intervention.) Bit contradictory if 5-0 isn’t that C&O?

I think, on Kepa, it is a clear ‘hold the whistle’, there is no rush here, it is being reported in the media as a bad error, which he will be disappointed about.
Good learning for us all, you always have more time than you think.
If VAR had recommended review for Man U penalty, & Ref had given it, Ref would have had to disallow a Bournemouth goal, would that be a EPL first?
IMO, give both or don’t give either… but easy to say after the event.
Interesting, clear foul but ‘would the ball have reached him’ criteria not met?

My advice is give more free kicks, if remotely looks a foul give it, tendency as ex players is to let the game flow but losing match control is really easy.
A better scenario is ‘come on ref that was soft’ than an escalation to players confronting each other, you can then let the game flow later,
I would stop play in a neutral area for all injuries in junior football, unless it was obviously tactical or persistent.
Player safety is more important.
In fact I would extend this to the lower levels of grass roots, Vets etc, it is recreational football for enjoyment after all.
I wonder what Howard Webb is thinking in terms of how PGMO/referees respond to recent comments from Nuno, Slot & Glazner?

PS. has anyone seen any real difference in grass roots football on the increase in grappling at corners or GK...
Gosh what a challenge for the match officials.
A great advert for VAR!
VAR would have disallowed the goal & I think given red for Digne.
I think red for DOGSO is fine, that was the GK intent, the striker would have an empty goal, the GK on the halfway line.
