Is there a limit on the age you can do a brc? I started last year at 30 and my dad of 71 has enjoyed watching mevand is interested in doing the local kids league on Saturdays. Believe me he is more than capable as he does mini soccer (10/11) for my school games and keeps up with them just fine...
Ah coach mind games, had that one in my u10a! 2 teams I'd not reffed, coach says "keep an eye for their late tackles". As it was the other team didn't need to tackle and won 10-0. The aforementioned coach spent the whole game screaming at his players to "hit 'em 'ard!" and "if they give it ya...
Made that mistake of deciding to agree to talk to a parent after a lively game (bear in mind it was u10s). I figured that she might be reasonable but was just saying I missed lots of shirt pulling (which I didn't). As we walked a spectator from same team bowled up alongside and said "you were a...
Sorry for asking a question @haywain, I figured asking on here might be more interesting and lead to a bit of discussion, which it did, and the more knowledgeable members could explain more succinctly, which they did.

Not at all. Managers should set an example as should captains. Hope you reported it to the league. And I'd say if a manager did that to me, as soon as he piped up I'd go over and "hello coach, nice to shake your hand, now let's get on with shall we and keep the verbals under control and we won't...
Well that's the point, if he kept him off then he can still have a full compliment of players but if the player returns to the field of play and doesn't keep his thoughts to himself then I would have zero tolerance. He had a chance to learn which is what youth football is about, not the result...
Well @Padfoott it worked in instance. When I blew for half time I quickly told the manager what the lecture with his player was about (although I think he may have heard it anyway) and low and behold in the 2nd half I didn't hear a peep from the offender and his team mates were also more civil...
