    MAN U - ARS

Good advantage for the goal though, game's good so far

    MAN U - ARS

Sambi's challenge is probably a red card where I live and certainly is in France. To not call it a foul in real time is a bad miss

    MAN U - ARS

Not that much to fuss about early on, easy foul after VAR. Just wanted to say that I like Tierney's newly accepted baldness

    Foul or no four

Probably no foul, not the right angle to make any decision though

    NEW MCI re-refereeing

I think there was a fair amount of discussion based on a Luke Shaw tackle Taylor wouldn't send him off for yeah. Also quite clear that these tackles are red where I am and I can't understand why IFAB don't make an adjustment or clarification in law for these.

Deliberate Play / Deflection / Save

I thought the old reasoning, even if unfair for defenders, was at least managable for referees. Now we'll have to make distinctions between what we can expect a certain level of footballer to find an easy or difficult ball to challenge for or control. I'll stick with some of the old reasoning...

    HUD v FOR

Second one is an easy PK, although Moss was obscured. First one I didn't see the contact and the way he goes flying often indicates a dive. That one is probably not clear and obvious, second one really is obviously wrong.

    Fleetwood Vs AFC Wimbledon

I'd probably not want to give the card but in a theoretical sense, this has to be DOGSO, much like the famous Milan women's keeper with the goal kick.

    Fleetwood Vs AFC Wimbledon

It's not though, the referee only blows his whistle before the touch on the edge of the box
  10. J

    Fleetwood Vs AFC Wimbledon

I mean the attacker is within 20 yards at the time of the offence, so I'd reckon this is DOGSO

    Fleetwood Vs AFC Wimbledon

Is there a case to be made for a DOGSO-R? No chance any defender gets close

    Huddersfield vs Sheffield United

Correct restart is probably PK as he is clearly offside, however only because he's Breen fouled into that position. As such, the goal clearly cannot stand but the foul is also reaaaally obvious

    Injury Time

Often injury time seems to weirdly be 'getting injured time' with the supermajority being of the winning team. Fair to say added time in added time is often more than 50% of the original added time

    Man City vs Arsenal

Yeah, that was me and sort of in jest in response to a reply I got. Think both are 50/50s and the referee's decision should have been upheld

    Man City vs Arsenal

Commentator on BT saying the ref has lost control, while I think he's been absolutely excellent. Not sure he's made any wrong decisions, even with the VAR interference

    Man City vs Arsenal

Lo Looking at that, you could also say Odegaard has a slight stamp on Ederson. I'm fine with no pen, very much like that VAR didn't intervene. Certainly not clear and obvious to me

    Man City vs Arsenal

Has anyone got a clue as to why Friend's on the line? Lucky for him that he hasn't been in a position to make any calls at all, would have haunted him for ages
  18. J

    Dortmund vs Ajax

Hummels has timed his tackle excellently here I think, either blocking Anthony or just missing him altogether. I've seen these even given against the attacker.

    Arsenal vs Palace

The MacArthur foul screams red to me, absolutely straight up whacks him with enough force to kick Saka top bins

    Open Age Penalty encroachment, caution?

Once had a guy encroach so obviously I couldn't see the kicker take the penalty. Was luckily immaterial as the ball went in and he was a defender but it was quite funny to me at the time. But agreed, encroachment is not really a big deal at lower levels as everyone does it, really
