    Injury

What @MattyAB said basically. I am appointments secretary for my local Sunday league and if you call me on a Saturday night with an injury then i will thank you for the call put the phone down, swear a little and make some calls to find a replacement. I would certainly not expect you to do it...

    FA / County Cup Expectations

The referee should be informing you what to arrive at the ground in, this will 99.9% of time be a minimum of shirt and tie but ideally a suit. If i were the referee i would be calling my assistants on the Tuesday before the weekend and this would be one of the things i requested along with what...

    Red cards

For me the higher the standard of football the more second yellows you see/give. The higher standard players are less likely to call you all the names under the sun (only a bit less) and more likely to commit a reckless challenge on a yellow. Not sure i have ever given two yellows on a Sunday...

No ref, no game? (well, not a neutral one anyway!) A referee shortage?

I have to say this is a worrying and all too common trend. Since the middle of last season i have been ref sec of my local Sunday league and i cannot tell you how difficult it is to get referee's. Last season i lost count of how many games were cancelled and last Sunday had to inform two teams...

    FA Youth Cup

That's correct, early rounds are all done by County. I just find it very far fetched that a county would appoint an un-registered referee to any game, let alone an FA competition.

    What to call players by

Absolutely spot on. Couldnt agree more. Know a players name then use it. If it gets mentioned and it will from time to time, point to two or three of the opposing players. Yes, i know, Pete, Gary and Dave too, guarantee that will shut them up. I will quickly pick up a few names within 10/15...

    FA Youth Cup

Are you really sure about that? It seems highly unlikely. A. to appoint an unregistered referee and B. to be given FIVE FA appointments.

    Amateur football

Like others i agree and disagree with some of the points in this article. What i do agree with is removing barriers and obstacles of getting people out and on a football pitch on a Saturday or Sunday. I am on the committee of our local Sunday League and the fine list handed to us by the FA in...

Just dropped my biggest clanger to date!

Dont be annoyed with yourself, just do better. We can all make errors in judgement, kick ourselves for missing something but Law is there in black and white and all you have to do is read it and read it and read it. You will then be the only person on that pitch who knows them and you can give...

    Jlloyd Samuel

Very sad, Jlloyd was involved in grass roots football around our way and played only last week in the Cheshire League. https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/jlloyd-samuel-dead-live-crash-14661129

You just keep clutching at straws to justify your own ridiculous argument that you are right and lets not bore everyone else with this pathetic debate any longer.

Netherlands V Ireland under 17s KFTPM

I couldn't agree more, that is because certain people are never wrong or more worryingly cant allow other people to be right. They would have a debate in an empty room that night was day just with a dark sky!!!!

WOW just WOW!!! The fact you have gone to so much trouble to prove me wrong, just WOW!!!!!! Seriously, how much time do you have on your hands to root out and read the competition rules to try and prove me wrong????? At what point have i been sarcastic? Or Humorous? All of this because the...
