No reason not to play on that. It was a great leveller for the gap in league positions. At grass roots that's game on. On saying that, Edgeley Park has never been that wet when I've refereed there. Just saying?......................
Correct. I always do some form of warm up, running and stretching but don't over do it. At 58 I don't even bother trying to keep up with anyone, let alone 18 year olds!
Go on then, I'll bite. How could you possibly deal with a punch with a stern telling off? You dealt with it correctly at the time; there was no other option available to you.
I totally agree with this. It's what I have been saying all day. You're usually guaranteed a mass confrontation with something like this right in front of a dug out. I couldn't believe how quickly the Chelsea lot all just sat back down.
Absolutely James. I always take mine even when I know the referee is super efficient and will have buzzer flags. Even when I know they'll have comms too!
It depends what jewellery you miss. For example, finger rings and ear/facial piercings there's no excuse for missing these whatsoever, bracelets and necklaces are a bit more forgivable.
If you know you're being observed don't take any notice of Law 18. It's really easy to enforce law 4 as it's done before the game begins. My advice is if you're on a promotion campaign you have to be strict with equipment. You're just throwing away marks if you're not. The observer isn't...
I just noticed you had NARs. You can make allowances for missing the jewellery (assistants should have seen this) but you should have noticed the snood.
Did you carry out much more thorough equipment checks on your other two observed games? You have thrown marks away here. You need to be really picky about the sock tape when being observed but there's no excuse for the jewellery and snood. I hope you get the standard mark for today. Learn...
Kind of? As I said, in OP the corner kicker touches it and walks away, the second player can touch it as many times as he wants and has committed no offence.
Now, as @Big Cat said, not on my FOP either.
My game tomorrow morning is almost certainly on the same pitch. I'll let you know if the car's been moved yet! (Brinnington's in Stockport by the way😉)
Fair point, but whenever I find myself either in the way or getting hit by the ball it's usually because a player has made a terrible pass. There is also the player with two left feet who hasn't a clue what he's going to do and I'm expected to know where he's kicking the ball to.
