I understand this is not LOTG - as the wording is strictly “a team starts a promising attack” - but my point really is surely it should have been a AFC DB … or did I miss a “touch” by a CP player?
(By the way as a Spurs supporter I really wanted a CP ball 😂😂😂😂)
If you watch the incident my question may become “more obvious” - from what I saw (looked clear) - the last player to touch the ball before hitting ref was AFC - Yet DB was awarded to CP …
The ball (after hitting ref) deflected to palace player … hence my comment in reference to a previous...
So tonight Prem game CP v AFC
Ball last played by AFC hits ref and deflects to CP player.
Game stopped and drop ball “awarded” to CP
Is this correct?
Or did I miss-see?
😂👍 tbf before you can begin to decide if (at “that” level) the player was finding it difficult or easy, you might have to use your mind reading powers first to “see” if that was indeed the intention … 🤔 ..: maybe … or not …
I agree; I was more trying to find out what others do - if different to my own thinking/approach - I tend to make it known as I jog past that I don’t expect “that” language - “I understand frustration but …” - for me it’s all about context / for a youth game I’m much tighter and strict … (not...
I haven’t seen that anybody in here have any “specifics “ for this season coming … did you manage to get info from anywhere else … I attend my grandsons coaching lessons and am being asked as “the knowledgeable one” - how does this work? Guidelines - sanctions etc
Yes understand - it wasn’t so much about me getting the coaches opinion as about the coach not knowing 🤷♀️ and then it made me question my own knowledge …
So each league can have a different level/system of temporary dismissal 🤔
Can you give me an idea of the “scope” of these different “systems” … I will try an online search anyway … thank you
That’s what I thought - so why are coaches (and other referees) making our jobs more difficult by not “playing to this system”?
Is it recommended/necessary to remind coaches before game that sinbins are in use or is my conversation with coach a one-off?”
… Saturday morning question #2
Consistency….
How do you deal with what I would call “low level foul language” - eg player swearing at themselves for miskicking a ball? Not directed at anyone else?
Similar as above, but directed towards a team mate …
I understand a stepped approach, but I...
I have made a quick search but couldn’t find an obvious thread on this … hopefully not a repeat …
Are sinbins compulsory in grassroots?
Definition of grassroots?
I ask this question while waiting to get my first 5 games in, and having spoken with a local under 16 coach … his view was “Sinbin...
