    Referee Fees

If it's the standard 'half the refs fee' I'd be pretty irritated at receiving £9 for a match. I'm not in refereeing for the money, but I'd feel that was undervaluing my job massively. A local Sunday league used to pay £11 plus 30p per mile for assistants and I thought that was low.

    Referee Fees

But the league that pays £18 plus 32p a mile? What do they pay assistants when required?

    Referee Fees

Wow. What do they pay the assistants in any league cup semi's and above?

    select group watch

I spoke with a PGMOL referee recently who informed me a bit about this a few weeks back. Basically TAG Heuer came to them and said 'What would you like'. The PGMOL referees basically said a stop and a start function, but TAG Heuer were insistent on going overboard. The watches have alsorts of...

    Referee Fees

My Sunday league, as are most around here, is £30 all-inclusive. My Saturday league, which has a top division with supply status pays £30 + 30p/mile for the non-supply leagues and £40 all inclusive for the supply leagues with £20 all inclusive for the assistants. I do think that's weird though...

    Referee positioning after a goal

Fans aren't really an issue for officicals at that level in this country, but also any fan coming onto the pitch is guaranteed to go straight for the players rather than the official.

    Referee positioning after a goal

Of course not, but it's much more credible if he's inbetween them and the fans. It's exactly the same as when the players head towards the side of the pitch and the AR attempts to hold them back.

    Second Level 5 Assessment

Some counties (and in fact West Riding used to operate similarly) will simply put any successful 6-5 candidates forward to the FA whom they deem worthy of nomination, without an 'application for 6-4' as such. There's a local Level 4 who has been for a few years who did 7-6, 6-5 and then got a...

    Referee positioning after a goal

Your AR isn't going to get between the fans and the players unless they run towards the AR's line.

    Refs sec's/Closed dates

On a weekend I'd agree. An example is that I recently got a district cup game on a Saturday in September and I informed my Saturday league which is both for middles and supply lines, that I have a DC game that day and left that with him. Obviously he could still appoint me to a supply line since...

    Ahtletico vs campion u21

Alex isn't a referee, he just photographs various sporting events around West Yorkshire, so no, I'm not Alex.

    Ahtletico vs campion u21

Still as baffling considering the photographer is West Yorkshire based only. Traveled fast through the network of refs!

    Ahtletico vs campion u21

I'm more baffled on how this went from me sharing this on Facebook from a local photographer to a Birmingham referee!

    What's wrong in this game?

A local junior league near me released a piece about them several seasons ago saying that they were acceptable.

    Fitness test preparation.

Here in West Riding we get only the one attempt when going 5-4. As Darius says, find a track, run. Darius knows this well, it's the only time he does run!

    Recruiting New Referees

Main thing that I noted from this post, and it's something I've encountered a fair bit. Are you aware that you have to go and join a league? Your County FA will not appoint you to games outside of their own county cup competitions. Leagues have their own referee appointment secretaries.

    Referee positioning after a goal

The video doesn't load for me (don't know if it's just me) but it could potentially be simply to keep them all in view. It's not uncommon for a situation to arise post-goal.

Motorways aren't hard, I actually find them much, much easier than normal roads. I passed last September but only started driving in May.

    Appointments

It'd be pretty easy to make some basic software to do it I'd imagine, using MS Access. Store data for all the referees in one table and their availability in another. You could create forms for entering new referees, appointing referees and stuff. All it's doing essentially is putting a bit of...
