That's not how it works though. It's the way/manner that you make contact with a player. Not the fact that you just make contact. Plenty of contact is 'normal football contact'. But last night's foul wasn't.

Could you have been being too full on? Too much talking? It's about judging how much to say and when. If it's nice and free flowing and everyone is playing ball (pardon the pun), then I'll not be too involved. But if it's a period where I could lose match control because I've had the tackles...

Mine is 10 in a Leicester Derby last season at step 5/6. Was really annoyed I was missing the Rams on TV against Pompey for it, with my game in the rain, but turned into a decent test for me (where was my observer when I needed them...) Biggest issue was keeping track of who I'd already got in...

I'm sure there were around that number in a Belper Town game around the end of last season. Fans stating worst refereeing performance they'd ever seen, etc etc. That referee then got a decent appointment in the play offs, iirc. So make of that what you will.
