I've also noticed that there's now over 70,000 posts. Well done us! And of course another massive thanks to Ross and the mod staff for a brilliant forum.
Well I have to say I really enjoyed last night. Got absolutely soaked and quite chilly but a really good experience, the occasion of a national final made it enjoyable as well.
Not too sure about a single game but on the first day of a tournament last summer I gave 6 in 3 games (40 minute matches) and was the only official to give one at any point that day.
My thoughts exactly, I've just started my promotion season for 7-6 but it appears that this will be pointless as I'll become level 5 for 2017/18 anyway regardless of whether I'm still a 7 or get promoted to 6.
Not too sure about referee's but there's certainly a couple of guys playing in our Sunday league into their 70's and one of them came out with a cracking line yesterday. Captain goes down with cramp and he walks over "What's it like having cramp? It was 1950 the last time I had it and can't...
I have a resting heart rate of about 62 and my average during a game is somewhere in the region of 110. I've used a couple of different HRM's this season including a fitbit watch and an adidas micoach HRM.
Had a game a few weeks ago where a guy in his own garden which overlooks the pitch was smoking marijuana... Needless to say it's a good job I wasn't driving home because it absolutely stunk!
In the referee's defence, I'd feel pretty safe blowing for half time if Billy Kee was about to shoot ;)
*disclaimer* NOT TRUE, Billy was a decent striker at Burton but with Trevor Kettle, not a lot surprises me anymore.
