I haven't come across a team in 12 years of refereeing that has a black kit,( although league rules always state no black kit allowed) so why change things now............??

I totally agree, never have and never will wear a bib.... I have in the past made a keeper change his colours cos his shirt was black, luckily away team had a second colour shirt they borrowed to him........

Player came up to me or shouted f****** c*** he would be walking, all that abuse i would have abandoned....... get well ref!

Had a game this Saturday and Sunday but had to cry off of both of them due to this damn chest infection..... this cold weather not helping at all.....

Thought of that and bought some fingerless gloves(black) even had comments from players saying what a good idea it was and they would buy a pair... but i think at a hefty price of £1 from B & M might be a bit beyond their budget....

Nice.... i want a pair. Scare the s*** out of the players though :-)

Update : The other week i had a match on a 3G pitch, of course no complaints about the pitch but by hells fire it was cold, as i pulled into the car park my car thermometer said -2 Walked to the changing rooms and my hands were already numb, so i wore my black Referees Society jacket(with logo)...

I can just picture the headlines in your local newspaper " local referee arrested for assault"...... The media would rip you to pieces, of course you are representing your FA 24/7... Police are held in the same limelight as well.... If you want to go back to being a caveman hang up your ref kit...

Absolutely............ i will not allow it !! no need... how often have you heard after a shot on goal and missed it " oh c***" 99/100 it will be f*** it/f****** hell. Perhaps you gentleman who have no problem with the word c*** use it in your everyday vocabulary and have no problem with it...

Gentlemen, the initial conversation was discussing the word c*** on the field of play. Now that conversation is done and dusted, other words are now being brought into the thread. Why? Me for one is bored now, one could go through the whole English Dictionary of swear and nearly not quite swear...
