    CAR Brief

Keep it simple, as they will not know the good book like we do. Since in your area they are allowed to do offsides, maybe a gentle reminder to stick to the second last defender and to delay the flag as much possible till they are sure that the person who is in a offside position is actively...

    Flagging for a GK

I knew i read it somewhere, makes sense now as the first document i looked into (without double checking the dates) turned out to be last year's guidance.

    Flagging for a GK

Yeah that's what I've been referring to, and that was my understanding too. I can't find anything in writing anywhere, but I'm sure that's what we've been told at the beginning of the season and I'm quite sure it was one of things mentioned/highlighted on proreferees.com

    Flagging for a GK

As far as I'm aware it was a new guidance rolled out at the beginning of the season. But If I'm wrong I'm sure @lincs22 or the other observers on here can correct me.

    Flagging for a GK

Quick one gents yesterday I was on the line and it got me thinking, when you flag for a GK where should you positioned? Do you absolutely have to be next to the goal line to flag for it (ie jog all the way to the goal line and flag as you do with a corner?) or is it enough, especially from far...

    Advanced Fly Kicks

Ha! And there you went on and on doubting yourself. So first off, congrats and officially welcome to the mad brethren, but now mate you have no excuse you're officially qualified you better be brushing up on them laws every now and then.

    Junior/Youth Adapting to junior football

Yes, there is a small box at the end which asks about the sin bin.... but I think you only use it if the player wasn't sent to the sin bin. I don't think the yellow card gets reported if it resulted in a sin bin. But to be sure mate, check with the league secretary I'm only guessing based on...

    Yes, everything is the same.

    Advantage

Ah but I would be careful how you consider this! A bad mistimed pass because the player played a bad pass doesn't necessarily mean that the advantage you gave never materialised. Consider the following 2 scenarios: 1- As in the OP, the player who was tackled carries on, regains possession and...

    I don't count cards but...

Oh yeah I'm well aware of that... and it has reflected well in my interview. I might have had one of the highest card counts amongst our candidates but I had the least for dissent, no 2nd cautions, a handful of cautions for persistent infringement. But unfortunately some of my club marks have...

    I don't count cards but...

Oh i agree completely. I know why my card count went up. I had a mock observation at the beginning of this promotion season to see what i lacked in preparation for L5-4 and the key message was I was too nice, trying so hard to manage the game. Hence the slight change in attitude.

    I don't count cards but...

22 Games in the middle (so far) with 54 Yellows, 1 red and 3 games without any cautions in comparison to last season: 35 games in the middle with 40 Yellows, 1 red and 14 games without a card.

On the sin bin, just check first if the league is actually trialling it. Not all the leagues are this season.

    LOTG Questions for Championship Goalkeeper

Oh lord yes! Sorry that's what happens when you are trying to read and answer while entertaining your daughter at the same time. I'm so embarrassed; you are definitely correct and I was so wrong.:oops:

    LOTG Questions for Championship Goalkeeper

You had me frantically looking through the BOOK trying to remember the dimensions of the penalty area!

    LOTG Questions for Championship Goalkeeper

What's the most important condition for a goal kick to be correct? It needs to leave the area, hence the game hasn't restarted properly and you retake the restart. It's the same as the simpler, more common situation where the pass from the GK is short and the defender steps back into the penalty...

    Buffon leaves his mark

I agree with you to a certain degree, this is fair and constructive criticism. Again we are unsure and debating why the original offender was not punished. On another point alluded to earlier, this is incident shows really (i think) what's wrong with the perceptions of fans, and pundits alike...
