    Whole Game System - HELP!

Seems to be on the blink this evening. I tried to log in and it wouldn't let me. First time ever using it, extraordinary report for an abandonment! In a girls game!

    U14 Premier League Youth Tournament

We got an email back in January. All Essex refs by the looks of it and it was basically first come first served.

    County Cup Finals

Well next season football will be a stop gap for when I'm not in a rugby fixture. Promotion isn't really a goal as i don't do enough OA football to get the games in.

    County Cup Finals

I was very peeved. The officer asked me then realised it was perry street in Basildon not potter st in harlow. Then he asked me to go to Dagenham!

    County Cup Finals

I think i probably got a black mark next to my name for turning down 2 appointments last season. One OA when i only checked the youth box and then another in Basildon when i live in Harlow. Oh well. Role on the rugby reffing!

    County Cup Finals

Anyone had the nod this season? I didn't even have a first round game this year. I can only assume due to reffing on Saturday youth league and being level 7.

Celtic vs Valencia - UEFA Youth League

It would be Blimmin painful so seeing as he's a big softy football player, he probably would make a song and dance routine if it. The AR should have helped somehow though.

Junior/Youth Manager getting sent away... Then not again

Ask the manager to choose a parent spectator to take over.

    10 yards

Use centre circle in your warm up to check your stride pattern. Walk from edge to middle and count steps then out again backwards counting. I get 9 forwards and 12 back.

@Mooseybaby he doesn't play for a barking based team does he?

    U14 Premier League Youth Tournament

One of my local mates was there @Charlie Jones, Thomas Johnson? He's a reffing addict and done something like 40-50 games already this season! On topic, how daft. I remember reffing a lad in a local tournament who was dirty and dissentful to me. Turned out he had been released by a prem club...

FA Basic Referees Course vs RFU Rugby Referee 15 a side course

The new course sounds much more sensible @Brian Hamilton. Sounds like the took note of the RFU course. Plenty of the kids on my course were not ready for a game!

FA Basic Referees Course vs RFU Rugby Referee 15 a side course

I'd also Rugby is already very professional. The difference is that the WRU haven't lost control of the coverage and therefore the money that comes into the game. It's a much more centralised organisation.

FA Basic Referees Course vs RFU Rugby Referee 15 a side course

So, 2 years ago i did my BRC. After 2 years of doing mainly youth and some OA games I'd become a bit bored (either the football is unchallenging or the awful language in OA makes me want to move to a desert island). While watching the rugby world cup last autumn i thought i would look into what...

    Junior/Youth Advice please

I've spoken to a coach after a similarly cheeky but talented kid did this once last year in u10s. He fouled outside his box to break up a promising attack and quickly went and stood over the ball. As i approached him i said "you've just done enough to get yourself sent off" to which the young...

    Advantage

It would appear Advantage is the most confusing area with a lot of different opinion! I'm looking forward to my rugby union referee course in a couple of weeks as Advantage is a big part of the game, based on a the idea of "materiality". I.e. is the foul play stopping the flow of the game, does...

    Advantage

Confusing one. The idea of "how long" is a bit of a rugby thing. My understanding is once you say "advantage play on" then you don't bring it back. That's why you see so many refs waiting an age to see if an advantage is evident. The advantage is letting them carry on.

New one is excellent. Straight up there with the original movies.

Two thirds of referees suffer verbal abuse....

All the officials they had for interview were young academy refs by the looks of it. They can't moan about abuse and have to look tough otherwise they'll get binned!
