Calling any match official a cheat is a red card for me not a caution alongside comments such as "there's two teams on this pitch". I agree with others here saying this is probably a match control issue however a misconduct report should be sent about the player to the league.
What's the best answer to this in 2017? My cards are plastic and are wider than my hands - doesn't look professional when you see a picture of yourself with a huge yellow card imo.
I stand by my comments - ridiculous decision made even worse by the fact the same team received a similar penalty a few days earlier TO THE SAME TEAM.
and they wonder why we went on strike in 2010
It's funny really, two poor penalty decisions for the invincible s to keep their run going by two 'elite' Scottish referee's.
And they wonder why there's conspiracy theories around Scottish football :D

@GraemeS this is off topic although can you fix your signature.. not sure how you can hand out 27 cards in 6 games (assuming card-free matches is 7 - 1). Half a caution?
While we're on the topic of game abandonment, could someone explain to me how they pitch check an astro park and what conditions would have the game to be abandoned?
I see a lot of youth and amateur games being abandoned on astro pitches even though the pitch itself has no standing water...
Great question and it's got my brain working. In my opinion, as it explicitly states in LOTG: "If the throw-in is not taken correctly it is retaken by the opposing team." I don't believe an advantage could be played.
Someone more experienced than me can confirm.
For me the player didn't even challenge for the ball and on a Saturday in Glasgow Green I'd be handing out the RC for this although that is why I posted here as the referee gave a yellow (and a lot of you here would also give the yellow). I just struggle to see how it can be considered a...

Skip to 4.30, what do you think about this? Referee awards YC although I was under the impression a 'challenge' like this would be red? Not even an attempt for the ball.
I was told to do similar actions to mass confrontation like this - take a step back and note everything that's happening, let it calm down before involving yourself (the last thing you want is the 22 players turning on you).
Is this incorrect?
I didn’t realise it counted down you’re right that wouldn’t help me at all. Is there any specific one from Argos you recommend or is any Casio watch good enough?

Is this watch any good for getting started?
I usually (and my instructor told me) to take name & number first then show the card to stop this situation happening. Maybe the process is different outside Scotland although this is best practice. In the professional game, a lot of players walk away whilst being cautioned.
Thanks everyone, I just couldn't understand why the player hadn't been sent off in any offence the whole 60 minutes he played before being sub'd off (when the midfielder beside him was red carded).
I've started trying to say what action I'd take while watching football now and I refused to...
Two points, 1) should handball been second yellow or red card? 2) Why wasn't first challenge red card?
Can someone please explain why a red/yellow card wasn't awarded for this deliberate hand ball? Initially the referee allows the goal before the linesman informs him deliberate hand ball...
