    Atletico vs Barca

AR can surely see it's inside and should be informing ref. More worryingly, Gabi wasn't given a (his second) caution for it! Iniesta, red for DOGSOH or YC correct?

    Penalty retakes

Yes and no. Within the 90 (or 120) minutes, any player can take the penalty. If it's retaken, the kicker can change. In a shootout, teams are required to 'nominate' their 5 takers beforehand. IIRC, it is not in LOTG but is in some competition rules that those 5 must be nominated in order...

http://www.refchat.co.uk/threads/usb.7503/ I mean, it's literally 5 posts down in this section, and that's without me trying to find the other one from last week. EDIT - http://www.refchat.co.uk/threads/whats-the-answer.7532/ Closed.

    Refereeing by Reaction

Both are Tring, it's how Mr Sharp met the future (and then former) Mrs Sharp, also known as Miss Poll......! (Phil may have moved since I last saw him 2+ years ago) Graham still involved with Tring youth football & cricket, Phil often in attendance at Spartan meetings held at TAFC as well as...

    Advantage leading to worldie....

Ruffle, you running RB's with AR's or just taking up a horrendous position...? Oh, and have you heard of this called "running"? ;) :P

    Refereeing by Reaction

Hey, that's no way to talk about the Herts RDO & most decorated English official in the last 50 years ;)

    Shouting towards the spectators...

Oh no. I find myself agreeing with FartsShiniest. What's happened?!?! But yeah, I'd be fully supporting him in that, and ensuring the parents learnt from it! If they pipe up again, I'd be inclined to say something along the lines of, you've already been told by the players and now you're being...

    West Ham v Arsenal

Yes, Craig Pawson, FIFA referee and recently appointed to the Watford-Palace FA Cup Semi-Final, was out of his depth refereeing a mediocre side playing slightly above their level and still likely to not finish in European places against a side who have the incredibly ability to never challenge...

    Watford vs Everton

Probert definitely didn't and I was sure Dowd hadn't. Thanks @Brian Hamilton!

    Watford vs Everton

I have to disagree about Mason. For me, him & Jones are the worst two referees in the league, closely followed by Moss & Friend! What's happened to Probert & Dowd? Haven't seen them this season at all

    Watford vs Everton

Neither. He was actually in a dreadful position and prevented the attacking player from running onto the ball, resulting in a turnover of possession, counter attack and shot on target. What didn't help him was that he'd had such a poor game to that point, he was loudly boo'd by most parts

    Watford vs Everton

Kevin Friend. AAARRRGGGHHH!!! Honestly, I don't even know where to start with his shambolic performance yesterday. 90 minutes of dreadful, inconsistent refereeing both ways was nothing short of embarrassing. We did nearly concede a goal from him clotheslining Ben Watson too...! *rant over*

    Sunday football on Thursday

Interesting, because I always noticed in midweek games at Supply & Contrib level there was a change in behaviour from weekends, but in reverse! Midweeks were almost always worse to officiate, whether middle or line. I continued to notice the same behaviour patterns when I stopped refereeing and...
