Except that the player who was in offside position wasn't fouled. It was the player making the pass. The difference to the A&H picture/question is that in that question, the player fouled is the one in offside position.

She's referring to the trailing foot of the DEFENDER. Which is what often keeps the attacking player from being in an offside position.

There was a case of this happening elsewhere sometime in the last 3-4 months, and I seem to recall that the caution was rescinded... a caution for dissent (at the same time) however was not.

Nothing other than a hand signal from the ref to settle... Based on the replay I saw, a caution could have potentially been given, but sending off? No.

Just goes to show how much I've had to read the Sin Bin section here in Canada. :D
