    Spurs - Chelsea VAR

Uh... hence the caution? If the referee deemed this to be DOGSO, this would still have been a caution because of the attempt to play the ball by the GK.

Definition of "kicked" to the GK

The whole definition of 'kick' was added this year to clarify.

    Fulham v Oldham

It's not a clear error either way. There's contact, but is it enough for a penalty? Maybe... maybe not. VAR worked exactly as the protocol wants it to in this situation.

    VAR Grimsby

So... in this case, where the contact with studs was just below the knee... what do you think that the chances of VAR calling down and asking something like "That foul you called advantage on, where did you see contact?", and then when the referee (obviously) didn't see the contact on the knee...

    Chewing Gum Whilst Refereeing.

One of the MLS FIFA referees used to chew gum during matches -- I last recall seeing him doing so a couple of years ago. I think that there's a few others at higher levels that do similar.

    Targeted harassment of match officials

The Dutch association releases VAR video (along with the aduio discussion) on a regular basis, and MLS in the US did release a number of such videos over the last couple of years.

Man Utd v Reading VAR IT WORKS !

Except that the player who was in offside position wasn't fouled. It was the player making the pass. The difference to the A&H picture/question is that in that question, the player fouled is the one in offside position.

Pep Vs Jurgen, Anthony Taylor, VK Vs VVD

Once again, showing that a) Hackett is clueless in this respect and b) that you should listen to people that actually have a clue in this respect.

    What do you give?

... but she's attempting to play the ball. Which keeps it firmly in the court of "C".

    Jay Rodriguez Red card Restart?

The "directive" from our FA here in Canada is 3-5s for advantage. I believe that there is an identical directive in the US. Of course, we (in Canada) are also under the directive to not signal until advantage accrues, and then not to bring it back once signaled (similar to the higher levels in...

    Jay Rodriguez Red card Restart?

There's an initial offence committed, where the player is knocked down, as this happens, the ball comes free and quickly moves upfield. The referee signals advantage. As the referee turns, a player from the defending team appears to bring his foot down on an opponent (the player that was...

    AR 'tip'

She's referring to the trailing foot of the DEFENDER. Which is what often keeps the attacking player from being in an offside position.

    Juventus v Sampdoria

There's no such thing in the Law as an 'own goal'. Who scored the goal is irrelevant to the Law. It's relevant to the statisticians among us. :)

    Old Firm

    Scott Arfield.

    Juventus v Sampdoria

SFP. There was still play, even though it ends up counting for nothing in the end.

    Juventus v Sampdoria

There was a case of this happening elsewhere sometime in the last 3-4 months, and I seem to recall that the caution was rescinded... a caution for dissent (at the same time) however was not.

    Toffees v Spuds

Nothing other than a hand signal from the ref to settle... Based on the replay I saw, a caution could have potentially been given, but sending off? No.

    Temporary sin bins 2019/20

Just goes to show how much I've had to read the Sin Bin section here in Canada. :D

    Temporary sin bins 2019/20

Would the standard entrance requirements of the Laws not apply here too? During play, they may only enter from a touchline, but at a stoppage, from any boundary line...

    Offside?

Good offside call. The yellow player in offside position jumped over the ball, and in doing so, made a movement near the ball that impacted the GK. This has been consistently punished as offside in the mainland European leagues (as well as Champions and Europa Leagues). In addition to that...
