Not a great advert for the game this one. Very negative game throughout with Wimbledon players flopping about like fish on a dockside after every little bump.
Credit to Will Finnie in the middle, he’s not falling for it and trying to allow the game to flow.
Maybe should’ve given Walsall a...
I think I can summarise three pages of discussion thus:
Makes a decision - “blew too early”
Played on/waited - “he’s relying on VAR to bail him out”
Can’t win either way
2 reds and 15 cautions, with 6 of those coming in the last game of the season (potential title decider).
Long held ambition achieved (there’s a thread on this!) to boot.
Moved over completely from mentoring to match day coaching and that’s the best decision I’ve made all season. MDC is giving...
Good to see Felix Zwayer getting his chance again though I’m sure the press will bang on about the match fixing scandal.
Never sat well with me, punishing the erm, whistleblower, who told then authorities what was going on. Tainted forever for that, despite doing the right thing.
Let’s start with a “what if?”
Thinking time is helpful. But if after thinking time you still went with punishing 4 and 6 claims to be the offending player, are you going to be in any different position than now? Could you have players then claiming you still weren’t sure and picked the wrong...
Mings doesn’t throw the elbow or arm. It comes up for certain but with the player coming from his blindside is a contributing factor to the incident. He doesn’t look behind him, and the arm goes up in part to make himself bigger. If he takes a swing or throws is backward then it’s different...
By all means pick up a county badge if you want too. Some competitions, particularly FA Cup, Vase, Youth Cup, Women’s Cup require the County Badge to be worn. And county finals prefer it too.
But not a specific kit in England anyway.
Incident is here from 1:16. https://www.skysports.com/football/video/33727/13365093/leyton-orient-2-2-stockport-league-one-play-off-highlights
As for the criticism, yeah ok whatever. On first view it’s Inconclusive for me - attacker definitely jumps for the header but it isn’t clear if he...
Not to be facetious but it depends on which goal.
Kicked directly into the opponent’s goal is a goal kick. Kicked directly into the team’s own goal is a corner.
Appropriately dealt with for me. You’ve already warned his, and he’s not taken the hint. Another stupid comment and he can explain (or lie, deny and defy) to his manager as to why he’s off for a bit.
Okaaaay this aged incredibly well
Just had a Full Time notification telling me I’ve got the middle of the U16s League Cup final at Stadium:MK next Saturday
😁
Mine were both unintentional - a header from halfway after a clearance struck me to lob the goalkeeper (U10s).
And another well of target shot striking me on the left thigh changing direction and flicking in off the post. If I tell you I was correctly positioned for 999/1000 situations that...
I felt they were trifling. Attacker seemed to shrug everything off, and get away and in. It felt like a “ping” or pluck of the shirt than a full on tug. One of those and still breaking away, I’d expect a caution.
Unless the player has had a final warning for persistent infringement of course...
Been appointed to referee a cup final. And I started in 1999.
Stepped in once as referee pulled out *on the walk out to the pitch*. Arrogant t*****r turned up injured and tried to blag it anyway before quitting at the last possible moment.
