    Valencia v Real Madrid

Well, I was a little unsure bc of how brutal it was. Like it was a bit overly aggressive, and he didn't actually try to beat up his face or actually punch the man. It was more of scrubbing his hand over the Valencia GK face. But I'm just confused about the classification because it OBVI its a...

    Merthyr v Walton & Hersham

Can we get on topic instead of debating which opinion is the best? I don't like how this conversation has taken a turn...
  3. Cowboy Ref

    Valencia v Real Madrid

It was bad behavior. Vini's slap on the keep's face was pretty intentional. It was a big outburst that was suited for a red card. The keeper seemed to be intimidating him at first with a pat on the back. Vini reacted and smashed the Valencia keep's face. I'm not sure whether it falls under...

The fines, suspension, and proccess are the league's responsibility. it does have an effect whether you turn in the incident in your match report or not.

Indirect free kick on edge of goal area

Yep. In U.S. its also not heavily regulated and the refs only regulate the distance of the wall if the taker asks for ten yards or if the wall is so near they can use their common sense to tell. But for attackers being one meter away, they even let them stand next to the wall! Not a lot of...

Indirect free kick on edge of goal area

You should set the standard wall ten yards away from the kick (really depends on age group). They could set the wall with as many players as they want. You could away with this at youth level, but it would attract criticism at a higher level. These other defenders could sprend wherever in the...

Manager bawling out their own player

Well, the approach is similar in U.S. The ref or AR regonizes the abuse. If its an AR, he holds his flag up to have a word with the ref. The ref speaks with the coaches to determine which team the parent is from, and the coach asks the parent to leave. Game does not restart until parent is in...

RKC v PEC offside from corner

Ref really needs to go over that agian in his mind. He should've known that. Probably didn't consider that in his own rulebook.

Goalkeeper picking ball up twice in youth games.

But we do use penalise for punishments. Like a penalty for a team refusing to pay referees (just a general example). But I guess in soccer if just radomly say "penalty!", everyone will assume you are talking about a pen kick.

Shaming Refs & Financial incentive to Ref (in addition to match fees)

Could be 🤷‍♂️. If they are really devoted to keeping ref numbers up. But I think its unlikely in my opinion. I don't see how it could deflate the refs confidence. It might just give them a sense of importance or urgency.
