Eh Mooseybaby apparently you don't have to do them at certain levels in England? personally I thought the health and safety of players was paramount in the responsibilities for referees but nope let them wear slippers is the attitude!
This wasn't the easy option I could have ignored him Padfoot, however given the context of the game, the fact it was in the last two minutes of a game where there had been no bad tackles no other cautions and was IMHO a cautionable offence as opposed to a direct cheat shout which would have went...
Similar situation on Saturday...guy chirping nothing abusive just constant drivel 92 minutes walks past me and goes..."get a red shirt on ref"....eh hello can I have a word please YC next comment like that and you will be shopping with the Mrs next weekend. I YC for dissent as it was an indirect...
Weather conditions are irrelevant? Serious, can't wait to watch your first game in three foot of snow, or two foot of water, rock hard frozen pitch? Seriously, weather conditions aren't a factor wise up! You are responsible for the health and safety of players on the fop if you don't feel that...
I find that hard to believe that you would allow slippers especially on a wet muddy pitch and if you did then IMHO you shouldn't be refereeing.
Boots are designed for stability, hence why normal studs would have two longer ones at the back, in order to allow players to stop/control movement, if they have a back stud missing when they plant the foot it may turn causing injury to themselves or on softer ground may cause them to slide and...
Report the manager and support the referee and encourage him to report the manager. If he doesn't then next week, the next young fella will get the same abuse. If the young fella was so scared and felt so intimidated then he really needs to lt the appropriate authorities know so they can deal...
Sorry but you don't carry out equipment checks until you reach a certain level? WTF it is done from the first game at the youngest level here right the way up? What other LOTG do you ignore, by that I mean if you don't inspect equipment they pretty much wear what they want and you allow it...
Exactly they don't want or need an explanation and know it is explicit in law for them to respect decisions there is no need for further explanation accept it and get on with it!
What his head movement just prior to and just after collision, he follows the ball and then looks back if he was doing the player his head would be constantly focussed on the player and waiting on a reaction, he doesn't he follows the ball then looks back.
Think this debate happened previously and if you have time to chat to players then you either aren't focussing on what you should be doing or getting into position to get play going again. My only explanation to players are usually two footed challenge, no control...red card!
But remember WelshRef01, you are at the higher end not junior/grassroots. What you do is the UEFA test which is done over here too, expected to perform the same as full time officials but paid a pittance in comparison.
Man alive you have great eyesight if you can see where the defenders eyes are focussed from this clip? I see him facing and following the ball all the way including after contact and only then does he appear to glance back at the player on the floor? I can't tell where his eyes were looking but...
