Can't find the original thread but keen viewers will remember I was AR on WPL Cup match where, beforehand neither myself nor a couple of very helpful members on here could find this season's handbook to check on E/t/pens scenario.
Interestingly the referee on the day had the same trouble and he ended up ringing another referee who was on another tie to check. However both confirmed what someone on here found out - the 16/17 handbook not yet published but that it WAS E/T & pens if 90' level.
Of course the game DID go to E/T. 0-0 at full time and we 3 officials all agreed at F/T that this one was going to pens.
1st period of E/T reds score a cracking goal, but 5 minutes of 2nd period of E/T left blues score a better one and then with 20 seconds left of 1 minute added time in 2nd period of E/T, blues score best goal of the game!
Barely a shot on target in first 90' !
4 cautions, but no real flash points & apart from the unearned "overtime",
a very enjoyable afternoon!
