How did it go today?

Yesterday was OK. First game was Kent schools v Surrey schools. A good game.

The 2nd game was me in the middle. Made a v contraveral decision by changing my mind from PK to FK as suddenly noticed it was out the box. That did not go down well ESP as it was for losing team close to end and losing 4-3!!!

ouch!!!! guess you won't be getting a Christmas card from them then :(

Bit of advice for that - wait and wait! Identify the foul, sprint over to where it is and THEN show if it is FK or PK!

Learn from every game fella! I got watched by a friend of mine, L3 ref, on Saturday and I've taken stuff away from it. Equally, I watch games, youth or adult, amateur to pro and everything in between, and I pick stuff up!

So do you think it's worth going for 7-5. I might pass the 7-6 then fail the 6-5 but I will still learn stuff, so I see it as a good thing

Don't put the pressure on yourself to go 7-5. If you mess up the 7-6 bit, you're stuffed and will have to wait another year to start that again. I'd recommend 7-6 and then straight away 6-5 but March to March, not double in one go.

Suppose so. If I do the 7-5 I will have to do 20 games between March and end of October. So basically between march and end of April and September and October. That's an Avg of 5 a month. A lot of pressure really ESP with a few weekends already having things planned.

Whereas if I do the 7-6 I will have all season to do it.

Correct. At this stage, you don't want your life dictated by refereeing. Nice you get to L4 and above, that's what happens!

Plus, added pressure because of the inevitable called off games due to weather!
