Oof. At least he got it right in th end. Would love to know the conversation with the AR the first time that got there. (The AR seems to being trying to get closer between the two conversations to try to help.)

Really not sure what happened there. Was he pointing for a goal or an IDFK for simulation? The fact that after the initial discussion with AR1 he signals a goal can only make me think the former, but the AR has then got him back over to say it can't be a goal as he blew the whistle before the ball crossed the line. The whistle can't have been for a penalty and the way he points the other way makes me think simulation, so can only assume the AR has then told him it was a penalty.

A bit of a mess would be something of an understatement.

Looks to me like he's given simulation first too, especially as the whistle was supposedly blown.
Then gets doubts and goes to ask AR1 what he thinks, and presumably gets told it wasn't simulation, so thinks the goal should be awarded due to advantage. Then gets reminded by AR1 that it can't be a goal as play was stopped.
