I don't think there's anything untoward

Just incompetence

Was saying the same things. The “Infantino fixing it for Argentina” gang have had enough already without that terrible call

That might be the most obvious DRP I’ve ever seen tbh.

How does Messi get away with no yellow for delaying the restart. Ref laughing about not giving it

Seen them given (against Simeone).

Argentina are just such a disliked team.

Totally agree, but those who believe the conspiracy theories will only cite this as further evidence.

If @Tealeaf isn't finding a convoluted way to support a decision you know it's an absolute howler

Not sure why the ref feels he needs to blow his whistle so much.

But why did he not just play on when awarding a free kick on stroke of half time.

Argentina doing their best to delay the 2nd half.

A win for Spain is a win for football.

Cannot remember any game, let alone one of this magnitude, with 0 shots from a team

Looked on if they paused at right moment, very tight

Wrong restart, drop ball to GK

Surely the correct restart is dropped ball to keeper as ball still in area and last touch was also by a Spain player.
Yes. I know Argentina were likely to gain possession but still...

Could you argue that the free kick was taken and he handled it?

Merino legit looks concussed after that

Spain sitting back and allowing the short corner - very dangerous strategy for the next 5 mins
