How was a free kick not given for a foul on Kane?
SpiderCam, SpiderCam, does whatever a spider can. Spins a web any size, deflects balls just like flies.Christ. Forget about our complaints, Norway have been robbed
Clement probably just sick of seeing him rolling around on the floor. So embarrassing. How was a free kick not given for a foul on Kane?
This isn’t confirmed btw, just what someone told me they’d said! Thanks for letting me know, but based on the video footage you wouldn't need to use technology to see that something weird was going on...
It wasn’t that person who told me this btw@RefereeX Is he still confident the technology was 100% right for the offside?![]()
Likewise the Bellingham answer.LOL @ ITV interviewer getting owned by Tuchel for his BS questions.
I've seen two videos of this, one shows absolutely no evidence of the ball hitting a cable and moving, the other shows a clear change in direction of the ball. They can't both be right so I can only assume a case of fake AI here.It is so cleary visible that the ball hits something, but unfortunately FIFA is FIFA, so I don't expect any explanation. Nyland has a tendency to upset modern technology though seeing as he managed fool goal line technology for Aston Villa a few years back as well...
For me there’s a big difference in this. Some Norwegians wanted a penalty on this one seeing how you aren't allowed to push someone inside the box... I would say normally that it is too soft as well, but it is hard to claim that Haaland pushed much harder at least.
I think the England goal, with the wire, and the disallowed goal (more on the lack of consistency across the whole game of football) are the biggest complaints atm though.

Is the ball sensor tech designed to pick contact with 'things'? Not sure. But it definitely looked like something changed the trajectory of the ball. Maybe a sudden gust of wind? Can the video evidence trump the sensor tech? There is precedent for video evidence overriding GLT on multiple occasions.
Other than that the Kane no foul call went Norway way and I think it was correct by referee and VAR. The disallowed goal for the push by Haaland went England way and I think it was the coorect outcome by wrong process. It was a 'foul' but not enough for VAR to get involved.
Fair point on my 'wording'. To be clear, for me it was not a clear and obvious error by the referee to 'ignore' that push. Happy to agree to disagree on our views on C&O.This wording of it's a foul but it's not enough of a foul for VAR to get involved is something I can't get on board with because clearly FIFA has a lower threshold for VAR intervention, it is basically if the referee misses a foul and for me it was a clear foul then the VAR rightly gets involved as that is their instruction.
I think even in the PL that gets given as they want to tighten up on the holding and pushing stuff in the box for the upcoming season but I so can see them going with the "referees call" of backing the penalty just because there is contact.
We have to accept there is no "referees call" in this world cup, if its a wrong decision, it will get recommended to be overturned.
