That's not the angle that shows why he was offside - which if you were watching the BBC coverage (as it seems you were) I suspect you know already.
Immediately before showing that image, they showed this one, which clearly demonstrates the reason for the decision.

No guard of honour but with Salah especially it was clap all 4 sides. Stand and look up emotionally, kneel down and kiss the turf. Hug every player he could see...
It was ridiculous. Slowed the game massively with Brentford chasing a winner to attempt qualification to Europe.
10 minutes may have been added but momentum lost on both occasions.
