Gillett was very adamant on Saturday the precise location of throws. Not correctly taken in law as not thrown 'from the point where it left the field of play'. However the same probably applies to 99.9% of throw-ins, unless we have more refs than I imagine who insist on the thrower being at the exact blade of grass where the ball left.
How much of it is hit is irrelevant. It is a yes or no answer, did it hit the elbow? Also, the disallowed goal, how can the VAR be 100% sure that the elbow was hit? And if so - how much of it was hit? It looked like in most camera angles that it hit most of the players back and also a bit of the elbow - which was held tight to the side. How can VAR deem this to be hand ball when there are so many uncertainties?
Ok that may be true but if a ball hits you from behind you normally find that the whole body will jerk forwards so I still think the VAR team guessed as they couldn't be sure. There is too much guessing in the game and perhaps we should be seeing less of it?How much of it is hit is irrelevant. It is a yes or no answer, did it hit the elbow?
The answer for me is a certain yes. It hits the body first and then the elbow with much less force. The side angle shows the hand jarring forward in a quick short motion. This would not have happent if the elbow was not hit by the ball from behind.
It clearly hit his elbow, he even said so himself afterwards. You see the arm jerk forward, there was no guesswork here, the naked eye could see it hit his arm.Ok that may be true but if a ball hits you from behind you normally find that the whole body will jerk forwards so I still think the VAR team guessed as they couldn't be sure. Held tight to the side is irrelevant as he scored immediately following it, so any touch of the ball against the arm becomes a handball offence.Seems a bit silly to be complaining about the position of the throw in when there seemed to be a big number of foul throws that occured by both sides?

Would you give that as a foul throw?Never mind the close onside call for the Liverpool winner - was the thrown-in before it taken from where the ball went out of play?
Yes - teams of three alternating between refereeing and acting as AR throughout the afternoon. An AR for a 6-aside?
I know of some summer tournaments where they want ARs on semi and finals for whatever reason. An AR for a 6-aside?
Less pitches running by this stage so it allows them squeak out full value from the £40 they pay for 8 hours.I know of some summer tournaments where they want ARs on semi and finals for whatever reason.
Sorry, but if you're getting decisions wrong on this size pitch you should not be near a final.
No, the team of three can concentrate on everything elseDo you guys have offside in your 6 a side?
