The Ref Stop
Big fat L O L

I don't see any other outcome in law, not the right outcome morally though

I'm not sure that red is correct in law. It feels like a rugby union scenario where you go back for the first offence

how can that be denial of a goal scoring opportunity when they scored - my brother

I’m still not sure. wish they had just left it

This could have effect on the table.

Man City lose out on a goal towards GD.
Brentford actually would've gone 6th with Liverpool conceding to be fair.
Liverpool have a player sent off that has no material impact on the game whatsoever compared to the goal Man City could've benefitted from instead.

I think the main grievance for everyone is that no one wanted that red card - City wanted the goal, and Liverpool didn’t want to have their player suspended

I can’t help but conclude it’s the right decision (advantage played, advantage only secured due to an attacking foul, so you come back), but it just feels all wrong given the two fouls effectively nullified each other.

I’m such an average ref I probably would’ve blown early and got away with it…!!! 😭😂
