Well if it’s DOGSO it’s definitely not S1! Was it DOGSO because of a handball or a “normal” foul? That will answer your question. Where the DOGSO red is given on the pitch doesn’t affect the code you report it as.
It was DOGSO because there was no possibility to play the ball. I think it has to do with the history. Originally all DOGSO was red. The confusion really comes from the changes that make some DOGSO in the PA a caution, but no updates to the langague. (They have good company with IFAB in failing to see the ripple effects of changes and where they can cause confusion . . . )Haha I see the logic! Poorly worded though
