The trend for subs and coaching staff to invade the pitch seems to be increasing when thier team scores.

The other day somebody scored and there were 15 people from the scoring team on the FOP to celebrate. No action from the referee was forthcoming.

Why is this being ignored now and why is it increasing; both the instances and the amount of people on the FOP?

i dont see an issue with it, players/teams want to celebrate together

if anyone gets into any funny business then deal with it, otherwise ignore it and move on
 
This to some degree is an issue which has grown because multiple substitutes are allowed to stand near the touchline watching the game and chatting rather than warming up - when a goal is scored, on they come . . .

But equally, similarly to when we're not medically qualified to tell them they aren't injured even when we know there's nothing wrong with them, we can't really tell them that if they're stood stretching slightly while chatting, that doesn't constitute part of a proper warm up, so short of reporting it when it happens, there's not much we can do.

Offer the options: "Warm up or sit down" 😁

Yeah, that's where I am at with it, if it isn't causing a problem, and doesn't unduly delay the restart, let them get on with it. Referees have enough problems to deal with without being accused of being the anti-fun police.
 
Things like this aren't any issues until they are issues, e.g., causing delays or causing confrontation etc.
Two train of thoughts - be strict to prevent issues, or be more flexible and deal with issues if/when they arise. Either approach have pros and cons. I am ok with either. My only problem is with when being assessed/observed you have a 50/50 chance of taking the approach that your observer doesn't like, especially if the taken approach backfires. I have first hand experience on both.

I've had this before and I just said "I'm not stupid, I saw your warm up pre-match and even mine isn't that static!"
 
At the highest levels - European and PL i am surprised this is ignored.

Do the LOTG state if any action is appropriate? I'm pretty sure it states a caution is required for substitutes.

Was ignored ("managed") yesterday when the Atletico coach and substitutes ran on to the pitch after their second goal

Sure, you could technically caution every sub for entering the field of play—but have you ever seen that happen in a professional game? For better or worse, it has simply become accepted as part of the excitement of a goal. I don’t know I like it, but that’s what has happened.
