Penalty correctly overturned at the very end there given there was no actual contact on the high foot, but surely still should have been an IDFK from what I saw?? Thoughts?
Swings and roundabouts really, there's an argument to say it should have been an IDFK against Muller for blatant simulation given he went down holding his head when there was zero contact.
Pot stirring: Law 12 includes a CREF offense of tackling challenging an opponent for the ball. Nothing in that offense requires contact. Why isn’t that enough to support a PK here, if it was sufficient to justify a red card if contact had been made?
(No, I don’t think the Game really expects that. But it seems a drafting issue.)
