Thoughts on the potential SFP by the Wolves player? For me, it looks a clear red card too me with the foot rolling over the ball and the foot fully planted on the leg.

Really thought VAR would get involved but apparently he didn't get involved because it was "accidental". As far as I'm aware, intent is irrelevant so the VAR making it up as they go along?

When I saw the VAR was Paul Tierney, then I'm certainly not surprised and his failure to recognise SFP is getting a bit ridiculous now(although we know it's in general across the board that issue lies).

I can't recall this incident (being at the game) so assume it wasn't really all that bad!?

Looks bad in isolation but never a red for me

Why? The follow through went high on the leg and the leg buckles which suggests force.

I think in the Champions League, that would get reviewed for sure. The bit that bothers me though is the commentators said the VAR thought it was accidental which baffles me because intent is irrelevant and I'm not convinced it's accidental personally.

Watching on a small screen, but it doesn’t look anywhere near enough for a VAR intervention. Low, not a great deal of force, I can’t really see VAR getting involved there, one that looks much worse at slow speed.

It was an accident, although I could accept Reckless in 'football speak' if anyone expressed that opinion

I agree that this is poor wording from the VAR. But I think its pretty much a fact that they never seem very good at communication. Which is pretty poor as its basic 101 of refereeing
