Hi

Not sure if it is because of my gold-tinted glasses, but I’m feeling that there was something iffy about the penalty given.

Looked like Vardy instigates the contact with Sa. As I said, could be total bias, but would love to hear opinions here.

Sorry - can’t find a video yet. Will post if I can find it.

As a Wolves fan myself, I honestly thought it was a pen at the time. Not seen it back though so can’t be certain. Thought Sam Barrott had another great game tbh.
Edit: it’s funny actually bc on another post someone advised ppl to watch his movement/fitness as it’s apparently second to none and they were right! Very clever with the way he moves around the pitch to make it look effortless.

Having just seen it back, Vardy definitely initiated that imho. Incident from 1:40

Loooooool wtf is var playing at?

It's a dive, var rubber stamping shows it for what it is. Not fit for purpose
Glad it wasn’t just me being biased!

Poor decision by VAR, totally understand why it was given by referee, but it is just telling players that diving is ok…

Yep, not no blame on the ref (vardy has 10 years of form for this) but understandable to miss it live.

Out of curiosity, does the Scottish FA (or SPFL, etc) still impose retrospective 2-match bans for simulation?

Agree, this is absolutely the striker initiating the contact and should have been overturned.

Understand referee falling for it, but think VAR should get involved.

Looks so bad that VAR doesn't get involved here, yet does innthe Bournemouth vs Utd game
