Mine was actually only replayed as one of the sides had stayed up on goal difference and as the other club who were mid table had raised it to the committee at the time the relegated teams representative and some other clubs pushed to have it replayed it was an OA game as well.

The fact they use a reffing pool similar to my club but hadn’t sounded out any of the non club associated refs is strange. Not declaring before the fixture a chairman reffing is also very strange, especially in a league decider. I’ve always declared when reffing. My friend would’ve never known if I didn’t google the club as a spectator during the fixture.

I don’t enjoy reffing them TBH - if anything I am almost certainly biased against them and we have a couple of players prone to YCs, which you never feel great about. Was happy to help this year as it was a new club and I’ve saved them about £1000 in fees, but it’s more aggro than it’s worth.
