Hi all, the last time that I actually posted was on a site called something like 'Football 365' long since defunct which was pre-covid which was nearly the demise of me too ! Anyway this post is about Cheryl Foster referee if you Google it.
Anyway after doing the Womens World cup in Australia/New Zeand she came back and was awarded an MBE for service to womens football.
She was also awarded an Honory doctorate from Chester University.
She has now come to the decidion that now is the time to retire. At 45 next birthday and wants to come out while on top.
She has since axcepted a post with the FA and her ' end ' ismentioned in the North Wales Pioneer Sport section.
Anyway enough of my prateling on and hope Cheryl's journey can be inspirational to everyone on this site.
Regards, Stephen Foster
