It's going to be the classic non VAR intervention of he's already on his way down before the contact with the foot.
So I don't see an issue with the non intervention, maybe if the Brentford player was not already falling over and then the contact happens then he's got a strong case for a pen
Feels like he was waiting for the contact to fling himself down. Would have no issue if it was given as a penalty, but equally there is zero chance of VAR getting involved once it wasn't given.
Am I the only one to see the elbow in the back here that is giving the ref something to think about. Might not be enough for him to go down but is it a factor in him losing balance and going down? I'd give a pen.
I noticed that as well @Homer Ref - I still don't believe that it is enough to warrant a VAR intervention though. I'd imagine this is another one of those good vs better decision scenarios. I would probably give a pen if I saw that, but I can understand why it wasn't given and it certainly isn't wrong to not give it as he is already on the way down.
