Level 6 Referee
I cannot find any timeline or guidance in LOTG that indicates how long a player should wait off the pitch following treatment.

I usually wait until play has passed the player so they cannot jump in and prevent a promising attack, but the manager of the opposition was telling me it should be 30 seconds minimum.

Any advice from more senior/experienced referees?

As above, no set time for the level us mere mortals operate at, however it's important that they don't re-enter until there is no danger of them having an immediate impact on play.

My advice is to use your discretion for "how long" as a game management tool, but do it discretely.

For example if you feel that one team is using injury as a way of slowing the game down and/or waste time, you can wait a bit longer to indirectly dicourrage the practice. Or if a team is chasing, then making them wait any longer than necessary can frustrate them and lead to other negative outcomes. Don't make them wait until a stoppage in play, as soon as play is not in their area, wave them on.
