Hello all, let's have a new thread now that we've got our own little section up here.

Week 09 was our unofficial Women's Week as all the Nations League fixtures looked like absolute stinkers, which brings me on to the bonus round. The total number of goals scored in the eight Nations League matches on Sunday was 18. @holbeach ref, @one, and @JamesL were 2-3-4 goals away and earned themselves 3-2-1 bonus points respectively. If anybody actually watched any of those fixtures, give yourselves a bonus point.

On to the matches themselves then, and despite their - shall we say - unorthodox predictions, @JamesL and @RefereeX picked up a staggering haul and now find themselves tied just above @Josh the referee who unfortunately once more got his 5 wager the wrong way round, despite getting three of the other four games right. We had a maximum with @es1 putting 5 on City to win 2-1 at Liverpool, with @one, @OldNavyRef and @Pwizardo also going for that result. @one also had the Tyne/Wear derby score correct, as did @es1 who now holds the season record for 31 points in one game week (excluding bonus points). That leapfrogs him above @OldNavyRef, and the only other shuffle was @FirsFox40 moving a point above @stedaley.

Here's your table:
Screenshot 2024-10-14 at 11.50.47.png

And here's Week 10's fixtures:
  • 1400 Wolves v Manchester City
  • 1500 Hull v Sunderland
  • 1630 Liverpool v Chelsea
  • 1945 Roma v Inter
  • 2000 Corinthians v Flamengo
  • BONUS: Total number of yellow cards shown in these five matches.
  • NB: The Brazilian game is a semi-final second leg, Flamengo lead 1-0, so this MAY go to extra-time (which will count).
Go get 'em boys, and please no predictions in bloody heiroglyphics, sanscrit, base16 or whatever you mad buggers get up to.

@one @Pwizardo @es1 @OldNavyRef @FirsFox40 @stedaley @holbeach ref @Gabriel @RefereeX @JamesL @Josh the referee

More clarity needed (used to be a business analyst who needed clarity for everything 😄).

Are you asking for second leg prediction or aggregate prediction?
"Yellow cards shown"? Many result report sites show a double yellow as one yellow and one red. How do you count a double yellow?

Edit: oh I get it. Shown by the referee 🤣

Second-leg final score not the aggregate.

And yup. Number of times across the five matches that a ref wafts a yellow someone’s way (be that first or second). Includes technical staff. Whatever FotMob reports, basically.
