Forecast for the morning, which is rare.
What are the thoughts regarding abandonment, first sign of lightening??

100% don’t even go there. I was in Florida in hurricane season when at about 4.00pm they get everyone out of the water park pools as rain and lightning is expected. If your caught in the open it’s very bad, near trees is apparently worse!

Most football associations have a policy. Ours is 15 seconds between seeing lightning and hearing thunder (meaning it's about 5km away) it is time to suspend the game.
