High level u20 AR I was. Interesting one discussed after the game.
Captain went down injured off the ball. Ref stopped the game. Physio came on. Magic spray for the captain and also a quick squirt on the thigh of a team mate.
Opposition ask why the captain didn’t have to leave the field. Ref says to them when two players on the same team are injured they don’t have to go off. He is experienced and was vehement during the game and after.
However, I think he’s misunderstood the LotG here, or a poor translation... it’s only if the two teammates have been injured in a collision they don’t have to go off, right?
He could have asked both players to leave the FoP here IMHO but the right move would have been just to get the instigator captain off the FoP...
