Sad news out of France that Ligue 1 referee Johan Hamel has passed away at the young age of 42.
Apparently he suffered a stroke whilst he was training. He was the VAR official in the PSG game on only Sunday. Such a sudden shock and loss to the refereeing community.

Because the linesman flagged it for offside beforehand. The offside nullifies the penalty shout and can’t be reviewed as no goal came from it.
Had the AR kept his flag down the penalty could have been reviewed.
Most of the match was quite loud with drums/chanting throughout which we had no problem with. The issue is with music being played is that I’ve never seen that at any level before.
Obviously at higher levels of the game you get goal music etc but this usually stops when play restarts

I did not see the alleged VC, only heard it happened from the players and spectators. Without any NARs I had no one else to consult.

Maybe a touch more lenient if it's being played in a good spirit. However I find most friendlies I do are still quite competitive and can get aggy so then cards will start coming out as per a normal league game. You don't want players seeing friendlies as 'free reign' where they can leave one on...
