    Law 5 Clarification

I mean it's not easy to keep count of everything (without going into all the possibilities) but something needed to be done about the timewasting and "fake" injuries to slow the game down. Just annoying this goalkeeper trial announced by ProRef only covers the professional game for now.

New LoTG - Injuries - Liking it!!

We had a good debate in the changing room as he asked how my games were going and said "player only goes off if having treatment" to which I was not wanting to correct a Level 3...but... 😏

New LoTG - Injuries - Liking it!!

This is why I posted the question I did a few days ago, was told this exact same thing from a L3 on a game I did at an academy.... again thats what they'd been told on a zoom call!

Law 15 & 16 - Blowing the whistle to start the count?

Hi all So I had my summer CPD the last week of June, and have tried to apply all the new LoTG (where applicable) in my pre-season games. The only one I am not understanding is why the necessity to blow my whistle to start a 5 second countdown?? I think the idea in principle is good, and I...

    pre-season delusion

Can't say I've ever received a teamsheet in pre-season, if there was anything in the game I needed to report I would email the secretary and get the name that way.

    Law 5 Clarification

So just making sure I'm doubly/tripley/quadrupley sure on this, because the "explanation" (if you can call it that) for Law 5 contradicts the change. The explanation says this: " An injured player who is treated or assessed on the field of play or who causes play to be stopped must leave and...

    Law 5 Clarification

So for the avoidance of all doubt, if I stop playing for an injury (I notice a player down and he isn't getting back up), they DON'T have to go off for a minute? Because that's what I've been doing..

    Law 5 Clarification

Yes but I was at a Suffolk FA pitch today and even county officers were telling me it's only if they require treatment whether they accept the treatment or not. But IFAB clearly states in that bullet pointing that it's one or more of those points, as said above for me if I've had to stop playing...

    Law 5 Clarification

Hi all Can I please clarify Law 5 just on the basis I may be understanding it wrong. An outfield player is required to leave the FOP in an actual or suspected injury in ONE or MORE of the following. Play is stopped because the player has an actual or suspected injury • the referee has...

    pre-season delusion

To be honest I used Archers actions have consequences and the game was well managed this afternoon. Had one RP YC and no complaints from anyone. I suppose each game is different.

    pre-season delusion

Oh 100% and I'd much rather get through the game with no cards, its more the persistence of the moaning whereas these 2 examples were directed not personal but what you would call dissent. The fouls I agree, the tolerance is higher and it was only shown because it was late and reckless.

    pre-season delusion

More of a rant here to be honest. I've been fortunate to cover 4-5 pre season fixtures currently, with a couple more scheduled in midweek and Saturday over the next week or so. I had a internal Vets vs Reserve team on Sunday last week, and last night 2 Eastern counties U18 sides so that one was...

    L7-6 promotion

the RPP pack just says officiate 25 games in the middle. In the end I officiated vastly more, but yeah as you say if i'm wrong then best to check i'm sure every county does things maybe they're not supposed to.. just thinking back as I qualified at this point last year i was told pre-season...
