    Seasonal 5-4

County FA should confirm when you should hear by off The FA as well if nominated. Was 22nd May last year the 5-4 emails came out from The FA, but know this may be later this year with the L3 Assessment Day date.

They are 9V batteries, 1 in each of the flags and 1 in the main arm pack.

    Refstech electronic flags

I have them, have not had any real issues so far (bought second hand and used all season). Don't use the supplied strap, and have removed it so just use tubigrip on the arm. Batteries last around 5-6 games for arm pack, and changed once in each flag this year.

    The new Nike Kit 26-30

Zips on the short pockets isn’t for me (its just asking for a forgotten zip and a then a card going missing) Hoping to stay in the current shorts, if we can get away with it.

    Issuing cards

Is that as part of a Promotion Pathway? If so, at Levels 7-6 and 6-5 you will receive Matchday Coaching. It's coaching, and guidance with areas on where your refereeing strengths and areas for development are if so. In terms of cards, referee the game in accordance with law, whilst maintaining...

What are you being assessed for? If the game requires sanction, regardless of age, apply and record appropriately.

    Tight calf muscles - help!

Have you changed footwear? I had a similar issue last season, and it was down to new trainers which was apparently affecting my running technique.

Guessing that's unsuccessful in being nominated by his CFA? 22nd May the FA informed nominated candidates if they were successful (or not) at that stage. I was lucky to be successful, a friend was unfortunately not. Seemed to be very competitive in our pool for this intake

    Players constant moaning

Surely that's equally, a damning indictment of some of the participants in the league. As officials, we've got tools to be able to try and deal with issues and abuse. Quiet word right the way through to Abandon should it be necessary and I think that dealing with it gets better with experience...

Anyone heard of any provisional dates for Warwick for successful L4 candidates? Getting pestered by the wife to sort June out but with a potential weekend in Warwick and the Fitness Test all on hold currently

    Mark Clatternburg Overlap Interview

Cynic in me is trying to understand why he's doing the media rounds. Overlap and The Athletic podcast interviews in the space of a week. It's interesting but only the Forest story is not in his book.

    Criteria once Promoted

I get this to a degree but I think this comes with the territory of going to L4. Joint travel with others, so you might miss out on the "bonus" of fuel money, or flat fees for more hours out of the house. I've two kids so I've now got to the point where my MOAS/Closed Dates is up to date until...
