So the introduction of IFAB to make the Laws of the Game simpler and worldwide are continuing to become more complicated. I truly do understand what they are trying to do (well, I think I do), but apart from the basics, they are becoming more unwieldy.

It was not classed as anything not even unsporting behaviour. Something just not right about it. Is this a case of different guidelines operating between the FA and our European counterparts!

Just because 2 pen decisions may have gone the other way, does not mean he had a stinker. That’s a comment that could easily be made by players, managers, spectators and armchair viewers. I would expect more constructive comments from a fellow Referee (or Observer).

I don’t think you should ever worry it will look sh#t to the Observer for something that needs to happen, especially if you could have incorrectly sent the player off. Which would have been worse. In events you got away with it, but you put yourself under a lot of pressure.

From the angle behind looking towards the defending/wrexham half it looks like it could be a yellow, but looking at the angle looking upfield it looks like a red. I’m content with a red - he should have just tried to play the ball - always helps!
